She graduated with a bachelor degree of Arts and a master degree of Arts in the Chinese University of Hong Kong . Throughout these years , she has held a lot of art exhibition, such as Definition of time, When words are Sweet and Matrix Inside out. In fact, her drawings gives others a sense of girly as her paintings have the characteristics of faded, pale color and human figures that make others feel childish.
In fact, her paintings show her own confession to herself. Every painting shows her experience, her feeling of life, her happiness and sadness etc. She uses painting to reflect her own sensibilities towards life.
Though it is simple, I like this art work very much. It shows that we can use rainbow color to describe a week.How colorful it is. In fact, from this art work, I keep telling myself I can be happy every day. It just depends the way I think. If I think negatively, my week may only have back and white color. I am trying to think positively when facing every problems.
I like your words , ‘She uses painting to reflect her own sensibilities towards life’, I can feel her emotional feelings through appreciating her work. In the rainbow art work, I can feel the happiness when Au made the artwork and I am deeply impressed by it. I have heard that every work showed the artist’s ideology and emotional states and I find it very true after I took this courses. I guess Au want to encourage her art audience that little pain will be forgotten and therefore we should try to be happy everyday and enjoy life cause one day those pain will make sense on us.
回覆刪除I originally planned to do the reasearch of this artist too but I have another idea so I just give up. Her work is really unique, consist of simple ideas, colors and deep feelings. Her works mainly shows colors that are not too bright in color and feeling, but in sense of pale color and "憂怨" (depressing but not too strong), showing light and slight of mixture of emotions, like saddess, confuse, happy, etc... Therefore I'm quite agree with what you have said "Every painting shows her experience, her feeling of life, her happiness and sadness etc. She uses painting to reflect her own sensibilities towards life." The master use of color and arrangement shows the emotions toward her issues and experience in life. And I really love her works.
